Being from a small town, a dry county,
population 2500,
a town well away fromany major city,
at this very moment, I SIT.
The internet, telephone, and snail mail are my tools.
Why would I pick this dream?
For love, for passion, and maybe I'm a little crazy.
It's my music,
my most passionate form of communication to those around me.
I am not alone,
we are an army.
Performers in small towns everywhere.
To our right and to our left are those who believe in us.
Those whom we trust to tell us we are doing this for the right reasons. Why when there are so many searching for that #1 hit
and break into the music biz,
why would we pursue this dream,
day after day,
relentlessly?
Because we love it, its our life,
it is born into us.
We eat, sleep, and drink lyrics and melodies.
I wouldn't trade it for anything,
and there are a lot easier roads to take.
There's room,
if you have enough determination
and persistence .
